Privacy Policy

The NutraPlanet Learning Platform LLC ("NutraPlanet", "we", "us") runs thenutraplanet.com. This page explains what the site collects, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. Questions go to tremayne@thenutraplanet.com.

The short version

  • We collect your email address when you ask for a free download or join the Gazette library. Payment details go to Stripe, which runs our checkout.
  • We use analytics tools to see which pages people visit and how they use them, so we can make the site better.
  • We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads on this site.
  • The site is made for parents, caregivers and educators. Sign-ups and purchases are for adults.

What we collect

Your email address, when you give it to us

When you ask for a free download, we add your email address to our email list (run by MailerLite), note which download you asked for, and send you a short series of welcome emails. When you join the Gazette library, we add your email address to our members' list so we can send your welcome emails and library news.

Membership and payments

Stripe runs our checkout and billing. Stripe collects your card details, name and billing information; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us your email address and whether your membership is active, and that's how the site knows to open your library. Stripe's billing page is where you update your card or cancel.

Signing in

There are no passwords. When you ask to sign in, we check your email address against Stripe and email you a sign-in link that works for 20 minutes. Signing in sets one cookie, named np_member, that keeps you signed in for 30 days. It's used only to open your library, and signing out removes it.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can answer you.

How the site is used

Google Tag Manager loads two analytics tools on the site: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They collect information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser type, your approximate location (city or region, worked out from your IP address) and how you use each page, like clicks and scrolling. Clarity can also record how a page is used (mouse movement, clicks and scrolling) so we can see where a page is confusing. Both tools use cookies or similar technology.

Server logs

Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser and the page requested.

How we use it

  • To send you what you asked for, and the emails you signed up for.
  • To run your membership: sign-in, billing, cancellations and refunds.
  • To answer your messages.
  • To see which pages help families and fix the ones that don't.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

Who helps us

These companies handle information for us, each under its own privacy policy:

  • Stripe: checkout, payments and the billing page.
  • MailerLite: our email lists and newsletters.
  • Resend (or Cloudflare's email service): sign-in link emails.
  • Cloudflare: hosting and security.
  • Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) and Microsoft (Clarity): site analytics.
  • YouTube: our videos. The members library plays them in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Videos on other pages may let YouTube set cookies once you press play.

We share information only to run the site through these providers, when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy goes with it.

Emails

Every newsletter and marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Sign-in links and receipts are sent when you ask for them or make a purchase.

Children

NutraPlanet makes stories, songs and activities for kids to enjoy with a grown-up. The site's forms, sign-ups and purchases are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

  • Emails: unsubscribe from any email with one click.
  • Your information: email us to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll answer every request, wherever you live.
  • Membership: cancel anytime with Manage billing in your library.
  • Cookies and analytics: your browser settings can block or clear cookies. Google offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data is kept according to each tool's retention settings.

Security

The site runs on HTTPS. Sign-in links are signed and expire after 20 minutes, and we store no passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so if you ever notice something wrong, please email us.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects members in a meaningful way, we'll email them about it.
